...was entirely different again. Suddenly he heard pounding footsteps, and then a woman and a bundle were in his arms. He could not have been more stunned when she pressed a baby into his arms, but he reflexively held it as she pulled away. He could not even find words in his language to call out in, and something told him she spoke another. The second time he heard footsteps, he drew back. The men did not look like they meant the baby any better than the mermen had him. It was fortunate he drew back, too, because that is how he left the third world.

Well, I know that was a bit funky, but believe it or not, the next post will contain explanations for (most) of what has happened to poor Jefferey.
That post probably won't come until next week, though, because I'm going on a trip with my chorus to Chicago tommorow. I also will be off the nets in general then.
I wouldn't call it funky, Sydonie. Actually the mermaids/men were funkier. ;-) This chapter was quite exciting, and all the more so since we will soon find out what's going on.
I hope the baby got to come with him... he thought he was completely out of his depths before, but with a baby to watch over things are going to get a lot more complicated. :-D
I wonder whether the baby has something to do with it... was he sent specifically to save it? Was it the lady who called him there?
So many questions... I even tried to squint to read the coupon. It looks like the first word is "this" and there's an "a" at the end of the second line, but that's all I could read. (And probably you'll tell me it's written in Simlish anyway...)
Great pictures. I always enjoy "reading" the second narrative contained in some of your WUC pictures, but you've taken that to the next level here. The text is secondary, and if only we had sounds you almost wouldn't need it at all.
I'm really looking forward to the next chapter now. But I hope you have fun in Chicago in the meantime. :-)
I forgot to ask you... is it just me, or are you growing out Jefferey's stubble over time? (Or does he have a razor with him on his mysterious voyage?)
Well, this is totally unique in sims storytelling. So interesting! I am ready to find out what is going on!
Wow! What a great use of photos. My heart was speeding up whtn the centurian-type guys were with the woman. And then even more so when the one came running toward Jeffrey's hiding spot! Nicely done!
Very cool world Sydonie... but woah... how is he going to manage with a baby. I guess it's not going to be that easy to find diapers in all these weird and wonderful worlds =).
I hope you have a great time in Chicago!
This is so insanely cool! I love this whole concept, from using primarily pictures to tell the story, to the showcase of great custom content. Awesome!
Yay! This was updated! I love this world, it's so... vibrant. I can't explain it. It's just very cool. What's up with the baby? Will he take it with him or return it to its rightful place? I sense intrigue!
Thanks, everyone! Sorry for being so unresponsive. I had family over and homework totop it of. But I hope to get the next post up tommorow. Yay!
